 Trivium was founded in 1999 in Orlando Florida. In 2005 the band had their big break with the album ‘Ascendancy’. Musically, they find their inspiration in the works of bands like Metallica, Machine Head, In Flames and Iron Maiden, although they have developed a style of their own after five studio albums. Their latest album ‘In Waves’, that was released late 2011, is quite possibly their most well balanced work yet. The talented band, fronted by singer/guitarist Matt Heafy has a reason to be proud, as their new album is a metal classic in the making. The powerful thrash riffs are still ever present, just like the powerful vocals and their brutal crunchers. Trivium clearly kicked it up a notch with this latest release. The American metal band has already been regarded as one of the most prominent metal bands of the future ever since the release of ‘Ascendancy’. With albums ‘The Crusade’ and ‘Shogun’ they further explored and expanded their metal territory. To great result, as the band has been all over world and have shared bills with some of the biggest names in the world of metal. Their highly regarded live reputation is also well deserved, as they will demonstrate at FortaRock today. |
