nasum

Back
Nasum is one of the most influential grindcore bands ever. Their tragic is already well known. The Swedish band was founded in 1992 and would develop into a completely unique and genre expanding act. The 2004 tsunami ended all of their aspirations and expectations unfortunately. Singer/guitarist Mieszko Talarczyk died because of this natural disaster, automatically resulting in the dissolution of the band. The other band members never had a chance to say goodbye to their fans. Until now… One last time Nasum will travel the world and pay tribute to Mieszko. FortaRock is one of their tour stops. After that, it’ll be over for good for Nasum. During a half hour set, the Swedes are going to demonstrate what grindcore 2.0 sounds like. Clearly inspired by genre founders Napalm Death and Carcass, but without the gore and accompanying lyrics. Loud, fast, technical, and above all without compromise. Their good friend and old favorite Keijo Niiminaa (Rotten Sound) will take care of the vocals.
