 Machine Head has been a major source of influence on metal since 1992. The first album ‘Burn My Eyes’ is a master piece and is often listed alongside other classics like Slayer’s ‘Reign In Blood’ and Pantera’s ‘Vulgar Display Of Power’. Their combination of aggressive thrash with melodies and a modern production is a winning one. The Bay Area band has managed to keep its old audience captivated with both their albums and their energetic live shows, while also attracting new generations at the same time. The band is highly acclaimed and has played every major festival in the world. Their 2003 album ‘Through The Ashes Of Empire’ was the beginning of a new phase. Their recently released album ‘Unto The Locust’ was hailed by fans and press alike as one of the best metal albums of 2011.
